Philadelphia went out and spent nearly all their prospect budget on Sullivan but they feel like it was money well spent. 'We were looking at a couple other guys but when we got word of Sullivan being available we dropped everything and got right on trying to bring him here. It's a great feeling to know we have this kid in our system, he's going to be one of the best the Fish have ever had', matthewm3 stated.
John Sullivan is with the AAA team for the rest of this season and may just be sent to the majors at the beginning of next season, if not near the end of this season. Sullivan will get his first start in 4 days against the Oklahoma City Rams (22-25).
